You can delete your Restaurant Velocity account and all the data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to do it, what gets removed, and what stays on Google and Meta.
01Delete your account from the app
The fastest way to delete your data is from inside Restaurant Velocity. If you can sign in, do this:
- Sign in to your Restaurant Velocity account.
- Open Settings from the navigation.
- Scroll to the Danger zone at the bottom of the page.
- Choose Delete my account.
- Type your account email when prompted, then confirm. This confirmation step exists so the action cannot be triggered by accident.
As soon as you confirm, we sign you out and begin erasing your data. The removal finishes in the background, usually within about 30 seconds.
02Delete your data if you cannot sign in
If you have lost access to your account and cannot sign in, you can still have your data deleted. Email privacy@restaurantvelocity.com from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete it.
We will verify that the request comes from the account owner, delete the data, and confirm by email. We complete these requests well within the 30-day window required by privacy law, and usually much sooner.
03What gets deleted
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once it is complete, your data cannot be recovered.
Deleting your account removes:
- Your profile, login, and account settings.
- Your restaurant record, brand voice configuration, menu and upsell catalog, and automation preferences.
- All content drafted in the product, including review replies, posts, and photo captions.
- Data obtained from your connected Google Business Profile (locations, reviews, Posts, photos, and insights we synced).
- Data obtained from your connected Meta accounts (Facebook Page posts and comments, Instagram profile basics and comments).
- Ranking history, audit logs, and usage records.
- The encrypted access tokens for your Google and Meta connections.
Your email address is freed so you can sign up again later if you wish.
04What stays on Google, Facebook, and Instagram
Content that you already approved and published to your own channels stays there. Replies posted to your Google reviews, Google Posts, Google photos, and any Facebook or Instagram comment replies remain on those platforms after deletion, because they live on your accounts and belong to you. Deleting your Restaurant Velocity account does not remove anything from Google or Meta. To remove published content from those platforms, edit or delete it there directly.
05Removing only your Google or Meta data
If you want to keep your Restaurant Velocity account but remove a single connection, you do not need to delete the whole account.
Go to the connections screen in Settings and disconnect Google or Meta. Disconnecting immediately revokes our access at that provider and deletes the data we derived from it. Your Restaurant Velocity account, brand voice, and settings stay intact, and you can reconnect later.
